The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh (a.k.a. Blade of the Ripper, Next Victim) has a lot going for it. A great director in Sergio Martino, an absoutely stunning lead in Edwige Fenech (who never looked better) and an excellent soundtrack by one of the few women in the field, Nora Orlandi. All of these things combine to make for one of the best and most satisfying gialli to come out of the 70's. Enjoy this wonderful soundtrack!

Continuing on with the Inglourious Basterds inspired posts with more from the Maestro. What can I say about Revolver? It's an amazing movie with an amazing soundtrack. It's truly one of my very favourites by Morricone, with "Un Amico" (used in I.B.) and "Quasi Un Vivaldi" being two highlights that I never tire of.
I have yet to see Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, but like many of you, I'm pretty sure I've already heard most of the soundtrack. Upon request I'm going to try to post several of the full scores to match the tracks to the film. Most are less than groovy, but all are excellent in their own way so I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
As promised, here is the beautiful soundtrack by Francis Lai to Emmanuelle 2. To me it's just about equal to Bachelet's original. See what you think.

Going beyond the 60's and 70's to fill a request for Albatroz. This is slightly more modern than most of the Morricone on this blog, but that's no reason to dismiss it. It's still got plenty of the Maestro's classic touches and is really an excellent soundtrack. Give it a shot.

Here's a great soundtrack that was requested by Wille recently. It's beautiful and laid back with one groovy number right in the middle. I'd compare it to some of Morricone's best work, which of course is high praise. I know you will all love this one.
A gem of a soundtrack by the great Piero Umiliani to this comedy starring Vittorio Gassman. This comes from the 1997 Japanese 22 track release not the 31 track release from 2009.
Time for another from the great Morricone. You've probably heard some of these tracks on one of the many compilations out there and that's because there's some great stuff on here. I highly recommend everyone check it out. 
Wow, I can't believe it's already been one year since I started this blog. It seems like only yesterday when I decided to give this "blogging thing" a try. Here's the one and only Morricone with the great soundtrack to one of my very favourite films. This was requested by Chuck and is an "unofficial" soundtrack, but it's the closest we're going to get I'm afraid because the original tapes were said to have been destroyed in a fire. Enjoy!
Hello again! I hope everyone had a great holiday and that the new year is going well. Up first this year is Carlo Rustichelli's soundtrack to this 1972 comedy starring Dustin Hoffman. It's a fun little score, but suffers from a lack of variety. Still, I don't think I've seen it shared before, so I thought I would upload it anyway and see what everyone else thought.
