Piero Piccioni has created many amazing soundtracks, but this one has got to be one of my very favorites. The music to what I think is Radley Metzger's erotic masterpiece has everything one could wish for in a "sleazy listening" soundtrack. I can't believe I haven't posted it before now. Bixio, Frizzi, Tempera - Seven Notes In Black (1979)

Following up with another suspenseful yet beautiful soundtrack by Franco Bixio, Fabio Frizzi and Vince Tempera. Seven Notes In Black (a.k.a. The Psychic) is an underrated film by Lucio Fulci that I think deserves another look.

Thanks so much for everyone's kind words during my little absence. They really mean a lot to me and I'm glad to see that so many of you enjoy my blog so much. Sleazy Listening turned 2 years old back in March and hopefully I'll be able to continue on for years to come (or I run out of stuff to share).

Today's upload is filling a request and it's one I'm very happy to do. This limited edition disc pairing Double Face and The Devil's Nightmare is one of my very favorites. Both scores, especially DN, forgo the usual groovy sound shared here and are much more dark and eerie. From the first time I watched The Devil's Nightmare many years ago I was struck by the soundtrack. It still gives me the creeps when I listen to it!

Francis Lai - Le Passager De La Pluie (1970)

I've enjoyed Lai's soundtrack to Rider On The Rain for years, but just recently came across the DVD in the bargain bin. The film, starring the great Charles Bronson, was very interesting with several twists and well worth the couple of dollars I paid for it.
