Sante Maria Romitelli - Yeti: The Giant Of The 20th Century (1977)

It had slipped my mind (until Yarolslav pointed it out in the comments) that Sleazy Listening just passed the three year mark. I appreciate everyone's encouraging comments along the way and I hope that everyone sticks around for the next three.

Up next is the soundtrack to Yeti: The Giant Of The 20th Century, which is one of many guilty pleasures I have. Not what most people would call a good film, but it sure is a lot of fun. There are a couple of funky tracks on the s/t by The Yetians (!?) that are really the standouts here. They were released as a single with what I think is one of the best covers ever. Enjoy!

01. The Giant (5:22)

02. Idyllic Largo (6:13)
03. Magic Epilogue (5:02)
04. Yeti (3:14)
05. Dreaming Of An Impossible Love (3:09)
06. Funky Disco Soul (2:37)
07. Celestial Reverie (1:59)
08. Magic In The Air (2:39)
09. Fugue In A Minor (1:22)

New link in the comments.

Thank you so much, this blog is the jam. Please let us know if you come across Luis Bacalov's work for Il Boss. Or any Stelvio Cipriani or Franco Micalizzi. Or anything, you have never let me down.

Awesome! Do you happen to have Piero Piccioni - Le Streghe?

that's really a great, very informative and stylish blog. Thanks a lot for sharing your passion. If you are already searching for some newer sleazy music, you really should try out the "tulipany" soundtrack, by Daniel Bloom. you probably never heard of it, it's a polish movie, but still I was amazed by the soundtrack. Please continue great posting!

Hi,

I have been listening to last 4-5 months since I discovered this blog. The music is simply awesome. Many thanks to you.

Just wanted to make a request for the Enrico Morricone Soundtrack for Revolver as the link is dead now.

Thanks again.

The music is beautiful, but I'm afraid I can't pinpoint where it's from. Hopefully someone else will be able to help out.

WOW!! FINALLY!! I've been looking for the soundtracks of Sante Maria Romitelli for years!! I love the score for YETI. He also scored another "directed by Frank Kramer" masterpiece, the spaghetti western GOD'S GUN which is just as jaw-dropping as YETI.

Hi Brainiac - I'm letting fans of 60s Italian film soundtracks know about a new album from Daniele Luppi and Danger Mouse called 'ROME' - it's based on classic Spaghetti Western scores and features original musicans from some of the main films like 'The Good The Bad and The Ugly' - I have a video trailer which I thought would be really interesting for your blog readers - how can I contact you with full info?

Best wishes
