ReplyDeletePiccioni is my favourite of the 60s and 70s composers!
ReplyDeleteIs this his msot famous film that he scored?
He doesn't get the attention he deserves! On his page on Imdb I'm one of two who's written anything about him on the message board. Is there anywhere else to discuss his work (and other great composers from the same golden age of cinema filmscores)?
Wille
Fantastic upload. Much appreciated. Many thanks!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad everyone loves this s/t (and one person even loves me). :)
ReplyDeleteTo anon, I would love to have 320 rips!
I hope your blog never goes away.
ReplyDeleteNo way! What a coooool blog! I'm the bassist for an italian cocktail/lounge band (The Smart Set) specialized in movie themes, soundtrack and jingles from mostly Italian movies and tv-shows from those years. We cover "sessomatto", "la pupa del gangster" "mah na, mah na" and other gems by Morricone, Umiliani, Trovajoli and so on.
ReplyDeleteWe also do cover of Bacharach and Mancini's tunes and soundtracks, though... why not? ;-)
I'm definitley putting your blog between the noteworthy links in The Smart Set's site!
Cheers
Alex
do you have any mirror sites? i'm on college campus' internet and i keep getting 30min wait times and then it goes on to tell me there's been too many parallel downloads from my ip addr. *sigh*
ReplyDeletei just want to listen to good music.
Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteCheers (don't know if I love you, but I do love this blog [but, you knew that already] )
Alex, I checked out some of your videos and you guys are great! I would love to be linked to your site. Best of luck with the band!

ReplyDeleteHi Brainiac, first of all thanks for all the great music you have shared. It's been greatly appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you have ever seen an OST for the spanish thriller "Tras El Cristal(In A Glass Cage)"? I saw it recently and the music was striking.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI found your blog about a month ago and am incredibly appreciative of the effort you've made in helping people like me discovour this amazing music. It has inspired me to try and hunt down as many of these titles on vinyl as I can find.
Thom, that is quite an unforgettable film, but unfortunately I'm not aware of any soundtrack release.
ReplyDeleteSacha, you're very welcome! Good luck on your vinyl hunts. It can be quite rewarding, but sometimes very frustrating!

Great blog, and a GREAT score to share with us. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat Soundtrack! Thx!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the blog and the music a lot. I found something you might be interested in, a program developed to attach album art to MP3 files. I use it to attach the art to my podcast, and to the files you make available. It is pretty simple and I have not had any problems yet.

BTW: I'd love to see some more Jess Franco soundtracks :-)

ReplyDeleteWHOA MAN ! THANKS
ReplyDeletethis is crazily good....not strange for piccioni as he was doing at the same time "il dio sotto la pelle" with very good UK singer Catherine Howe. But here.....uuughh for teh summer coming....Nora Orlandi did so much good this ost would be better tha Edda i see and fee she did big in providing such different but similar voicing solos like Edda dell'orso, here Nora is more near simple sexy near the ears..no smooth and douce... no other would be done better and what about berto pisano directing this? who know s who can be the guitarist?
