I never leave comments but the perfection of this album (and, of course, the site) compels me to at least crack the knuckles and type a big THANKS.
ReplyDelete"This soundtrack to the Italian version was scored by Piero Piccioni while the French version was composed by Georges Delerue."
ReplyDeleteWhich do you like better?
Thanks again for the boss posts.
Many thanks for this. There's some great tracks on here. Subtle and really cool, and beautiful. Nice organ / guitar / drums waltzes. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteAnon - I'm pretty partial to anything Piccioni, so I guess it's safe to say I prefer his score.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome, everyone!
thanks
ReplyDeletehi, i need the french soundtrack... did you have it?thanks...
ReplyDeleteThis is not my rip, but here is a link to download a Delerue compilation that has 6 tracks from "Le Mepris". As far as I can tell, there has not been a complete soundtrack released.

Thankyou for the Piero Piccioni soundtrack
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of this movie. Thanks for this italian version, Brianiac!
ReplyDeleteMerci. Interesting discovery, as many soundtracks on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI ignored there was an italian version of the movie with a different music.
Piero Piccioni's version is more commun and rather pale compared to Georges Delerue's which give its tone to the movie. I read that Godard never approved this italian version. Read the story on Film Score Monthly the post by Stefan Schlegel, Jan 7, 2012.
